Sports aren’t the only thing to have massive dynasties, though. Hollywood has seen a ton of dynasties come through the entertainment industry over the decades. Some family members have branched out into other fields, including music and clothing. We take a look at 20 of the biggest dynasties that have turned Hollywood upside down with their amazing talent and closets full of award trophies.
Both Blythe Danner and her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow received Emmy Awards for their respective work in Huff and Glee. They’ve appeared together in the films Cruel Doubt and Sylvia, which found Blythe and Gwyneth playing mother and daughter on screen.
Aside from acting, Gwyneth also has several songs on the Billboard charts, including her cover of “Cruisin'” with Huey Lewis. Gwyneth’s younger brother Jake directed several episodes of NYPD Blue before writing and directing the films The Good Night and Young Ones. He also directed two episodes of the hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire: “White Horse Pike” and “Cuanto.” At a luncheon hosted by Paltrow in honor of her mother, she said, “Mom is my hero, she’s the greatest.”
